Below are 6 ways to get rid of stinky shoe odour:
Stinky shoes start with stinky feet.Deliberately washing your feet each day can eliminate foot smell, and the stinky shoes that follow. Also exfoliate with a pumice stone, the bottoms of your feet, especially at the heels.
2. Using baking soda
Baking soda is universally known to absorb and neutralize odors. Fill two socks with baking soda, tie them off at the top, and slip one sock in each shoe. Let them sit overnight. Remove them by morning and discover magic.
3. Rotate the shoes you wear
This helps extend the lifespan of shoes and also helps elimimate odour. If you wear a shoe on multiple days in a row there would be soo much moisture in it which causes odour.Instead give shoes a full day or two to air out and breathe a little.
4. Citrus peels
Fresh citrus peel has a great smell because of its essential oils.Place fresh orange, grapefruit, lemon, or lime peel into the shoes and leave overnight.(use a peel or two). They should smell a lot better.
5. Wear sweat-sucking socks
Going sockless in shoes is a recipe for stank! . Invest in good socks. You wearing socks can make a big difference.
6. Take advantage of UV power!
The sun’s UV rays naturally kill bacteria. Unlace, lift up the tongue as much as you can, and leave them to dry. It may not exterminate stink fully, but it’ll definitely eliminate some of it, and it’s obviously, totally natural and free.
P.s. Don't leave suedé shoes in direct sunlight for too long.Any other materials are fine for whatever you want to do.
